· Contributes to the creation of a respectful positive manner in all inter-agency interactions notably through the application of core values.

· Strengthens SCAs understanding of inclusive security, & risk management frameworks to enable informed decisions to be made to mitigate the risks that may adversely impact staff, assets, program/project activities, & reputation.

· Collaborates closely with the Country Management Team & five Regional Management Offices to strengthen resilience, to provide technical advice & initiatives to enhance & maintain security & risk awareness.

· Collaborates & encourages the creation of tools for safeguarding, protection & mitigation strategies to ensure confidentiality & dignity is prioritized.

· Actively contributes to the improvement of SCAs commitment to Counterterrorism Legislation. Focusing on enhancing awareness, developing capabilities to build cohesion in terms of due diligence, risk management & compliance.

· Develops strategies to address risk concerns & to standardize best practice & business continuity.

· Works closely with cross cutting units in terms of proposal writing, monitoring, evaluation, & analysis.

· Develops & technically oversees the implementation of SCAs security, & risk management system, & the associated mechanisms, & procedures, to include information sharing & incident management systems.

· Enriches operational resilience in emergency preparedness through the design & integration of risk mitigation, physical protection systems, medical response & evacuation, & contingency plans.

· Advises and provides the appropriate information & contextual analysis to the Country Management Team, Senior Management Team, Incident Management Team, & Crisis Management Team on matters pertaining to incident, emergency, & crisis management.

· Technically oversees travel risk & journey management to high-risk areas countrywide.

· Maintains a network with likeminded organizations, agencies, other International & National actors aiming at strengthening information sharing, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

· Undertakes regular field office, project site visits to forge relationships with staff, to convey the requirements for integrating physical protection systems ensuring compliance to physical, logistical, technical, & procedural minimum operating security standards.

· Responsible for new security installations, equipment adjustments, maintenance & decommissioning minimum operating security standards.

• Designs & facilitates the delivery of security & risk awareness trainings, advanced first aid trainings for International & National staff via workshops aiming to effectively enhance staff proficiency.

· Compiles input to SCA strategic plan, annual work plan, & budget management plan & ensures the unit is compliant with annual performance indicators.

· Compiles strategic, tactical, & operational level contextual reports to support decision-making.

· Supports Human Resources/Employee Relations to ensure an inclusive approach to staff onboarding.

· Carries out investigations into activity that poses a threat to SCA, such as loss or theft of equipment, information & workplace violence.

· Possesses a high level of technical knowledge of surveillance & intruder detection systems, communications systems, incident mapping solutions & satellite tracking platforms.
